3 Days Until The Deadline

Image hosting by PhotobucketImage hosting by PhotobucketImage hosting by PhotobucketImage hosting by PhotobucketPool Jackpot is now...

Now that the season has ended, the jackpot is now gonna grow... and grow... and grow. Ten teams have paid and/or picked their teams. There isn't much more debating left to do anymore. So, people should get their teams together for picking their team.

The teams who are now included are:

Sherpa's Yaks
Thanx For Comin' Out
It's Not That Bad
Bubbs
Wilson St. Samsquanches rrrrraaagh
Langdon River Dogs (paid but no team picked)
Name yet to be picked, but paid for... (paid but no team picked)
The Shaving Moes (paid, but no team picked)
Pony Boy 1
Pony Boy 2

Be sure to get yourself included before Friday at noon... or else you'll miss out on the jackpot. I'm expecting at least 10 more... upwards of around 30 more. We could have a jackpot over $400 before its all said and done.

The matchups have all now been confirmed...

In the west, we'll see...
Image hosted by Photobucket.comImage hosted by Photobucket.comDetroit will have home ice advantage against the Oilers. The Wings will see if the President's Trophy means anything in the playoffs this time around. There is a chance that the Wings could go all the way, but don't count the Oil out just yet... it's anybody's playoffs.
Image hosted by Photobucket.comImage hosted by Photobucket.comThe Stars will play host to Colorado in a battle of Western superpowers. In years past, this matchup would have been saved for a Conference Final, but not this year. The tight Northwest dropped the Avs down to 7th, which gave them a date in the Big D.
Image hosted by Photobucket.comImage hosted by Photobucket.comCalgary will play host to the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim. On the back of Kiprusoff again this season, the Flames will look to burn out the high-flying Ducks in a tight first-round matchup. Teemu Selanne's 40 goals against Kipper's 42 wins.

Two teams that had tremendous seasons, but are going in opposite directions in the way of momentum will collide with Nashville being the key spot for home games.

In the Eastern Conference, we'll see...
Image hosted by Photobucket.comImage hosted by Photobucket.comThe Senators will play host to their expansion cousins and defending champs, the Tampa Bay Lightning. A series of determination... the contenders in the East with injury concerns in the crease against the champs, who have concerns of being one-year wonders.
Image hosted by Photobucket.comImage hosted by Photobucket.comThe Canadiens will play a maximum of four games in Raleigh as they face the Hurricanes in the first round. Carolina and their up & comers in Staal and Gerber will take on returners to the dance Koivu and Kovalev in what should be a high-spirited affair.
Image hosted by Photobucket.comImage hosted by Photobucket.comThe Jersey Turnpike series between the Devils and the Rangers will be a showpiece of the first round in the East. Martin Brodeur will take on East scoring champ Jaromir Jagr in the Tunnel Series of 2006. Will European scoring defeat North American defense?
Image hosted by Photobucket.comImage hosted by Photobucket.comFinally, the Sabres will meet the Flyers to start Round 1. Buffalo goes into the post-season playing very well and the Flyers are limping into the playoffs with crutches and prayers. Forsberg, likely to play, will have to grind it out past either Biron or Miller. Who's it gonna be?
