Tonight's edition of the standings comes with some team rosters down below. Throughout the playoffs, teams will be posted so you can see who the leaders have and when they're done being posted, who all the teams below them have. Seems fair. On the right hand side of the page, there will be a link to each team that is posted, so you can have easy access to the team's your own team is up against at the moment and see when teams get eliminated from the playoffs.

Michael Ryder was the overtime hero, scoring two, including the winner. This was a marquee game which saw 11 goals, a playoff pool delight. Alexei Kovalev had a goal and an assist to lead that playoff series in points with 5. Eric Staal recorded 4 assists in the game tonight in the losing cause. The Canadiens blew a 3-goal lead in the second period, only to get the lead back at 5-4, before Cory Stillman sent it into overtime. A great game indeed. The Canadiens go home with a series lead of 2-0, where they are very good at home this season, going 24-13-4. Could it be an early exit for an Eastern favourite?

Image hosted by Photobucket.comImage hosted by Photobucket.com There were some people who thought this series would be close. None of those were in the Sabres dressing room. In another goal-fest, the Sabres walked over the Flyers 8-2, scoring one less goal than the game above. Both J.P. Dumont and Jason Pominville recorded hat tricks, while Ryan Miller earned his second win of the series. The Flyers, with so much firepower, haven't been able to outscore the Sabres in the first two games at all. Simon Gagne and Petr Nedved were the only Flyers to register goals tonight. Ales Kotalik scored the eventual winning goal for the Sabres mid-way through the 1st period for the bonus point. The Flyers are well on their way to an early exit in this season's playoffs.

Image hosted by Photobucket.comImage hosted by Photobucket.com The Jagr-less, Rucinsky-less, Kasparitis-less Rangers walked into the Continental Airlines Arena hoping that their depth players could pull one out of the bag against the Devils. Martin Brodeur had other plans. Brodeur made 25 saves for his second win of the playoffs and the most popular goalie in the East is showing why he is just that. John Madden recorded a hat-trick tonight against the blue shirts, while Paul Martin had 2 assists, Jamie Langenbrunner & Brian Rafalski each had one. The Devils walked away with a 4-1 win and a 2-0 lead heading to Madison Square Gardens on Wednesday.

Image hosted by Photobucket.comImage hosted by Photobucket.com In what looked like a series that was gonna end quickly, the Stars got some life and made it into their game at home. The Avalanche scored 3 goals in the first period (Rob Blake, Andrew Brunette & Milan Hejduk) to be up by that margin at the first intermission. All woe was Dallas, in the eyes of more than likely a lot of people. But wait! The second period brought a whole new Stars team to the ice. Jussi Jokinen scored early. Jere Lehtinen scored two in 3 minutes and 19 seconds. Mike Modano scored with 3 seconds left in the second and all of a sudden the Stars were up a goal. Watching the third period online, it looked like the Stars might just hang on... but no... more drama! Defenseman Brett Clark scored with 2:04 remaining in regulation to send it into overtime. It only took 4:36 to solve the dispute in the end with Joe Sakic scoring the overtime winner, getting the bonus point, giving Jose Theodore the win and the Avalanche a 2-0 series lead going into Denver on Wednesday.
