Player of the Night

Well, no one really stood out. There were a couple with bonus points... a few with two normal points... but, it was Vincent Lecavalier, who not only had a couple points, he did make an incredible difference in Tampa's game against New Jersey on Monday night. An early 1-0 goal set the stage for a good night for Lecavalier and he was the one who set-up Prospal's game-winner later in the game. Advantage: Lightning.

Game Winning Goal Scorers of the Night
With only three games on the sched on Monday night, there wasn't many bonus points to be had. Well, three to be exact. In Tampa Bay, it was Vaclav Prospal who scored the Lightning's third goal. A 3-2 win over the Devils moved them a game ahead in the series. On Long Island, Daniel Briere's powerplay goal in the second period was enough to hold off the Islanders. The Sabres now hold an edge on the Islanders in the series. In the last game of the night, the Sharks took advantage of being at home and Ryan Clowe gave the Sharks their game winning goal. Clowe has been taken eight times and they're all doing their dance of joy.
