Gratton Bolts

Chris Gratton has been dealt back to the Tampa Bay Lightning today for a second round pick from the Florida Panthers. This will be Gratton's third stint in Tampa Bay.

In Florida, Gratton recorded 13 goals and 35 points for the Panthers, which put him 247th on the points list by pool standards. He'll go to Tampa as the third centre behind Vincent Lecavalier and Brad Richards and possibly have some time on the second power play unit.

He'll be making $1.5 million this season, which moves the Lightning's salary number a little closer to the estimated cap of $48.5 million. By my records, the Lightning have 13 (of 22) starting players at $37 million (estimated).
