Friday night in Red Deer was supposed to be the final homecoming of Brent Sutter and was supposed to be another easy win to make the series 7-0. Well, that just didn't happen. In Red Deer, the Russians decided to bring their A-game and forced a 4-4 tie to bring the Canadian record down to 6-0-1.On the Russian side, we added quite a few names to the scoring list, including Ottawa prospect, Radim Bashkirov, who added two assists in the game. Draft prospect, Vyacheslav Voyonov scored a goal and added an assist, which may boost his stock in the coming draft. Goaltender, Vadim Zhelobnyuk, started his first game of the series and played quite well when he needed to, which gave the Russian team their first point in the standings. There's a pretty good chance we'll see him again in Vancouver on Sunday.

Turris, Pyett, Sutter and Gagner all had a goal for the Canadians, while Mason and Bernier shared time on the ice, but Bernier got credit with the tie. Gagner, by far the best player in the series, also added an assist to his cause, to bring his series-leading point total to 13. John Tavares is making a good case to be bumped up to the 2008 Draft with another 2 assists to bring his point total to 7. Los Angeles' 2007 1st rounder, Thomas Hickey, also had a pair of assists for the Canadians and has looked very calm and composed during his time with the team.
