Rinne Won't Back-up Mason

Well, this one is kind of a shocker. Pekka Rinne was expected to be the number two guy in the Predators net, but he lost the job to off-season acquistion, Dan Ellis. Ellis, picked up from Dallas in the summer, will provide a good back-up to Chris Mason in Nashville. Ellis lost his opportunity to Dan Smith in Dallas, which should have been a cushy job, but now has his sights set on a Central Division title with the Predators.
