The news in Edmonton continues to get worse. With no Sheldon Souray (Marcus) there was a lot of belief that Joni Pitkanen (Dennis) would have to pick up the slack. Then yesterday, the Sherpa writes that he's out for 2 weeks with a possible leg injury. Well, it turns out it's a knee injury and it's much worse that first expected. Pitkanen will have to undergo surgery on his knee and will be out of the line-up for 4 weeks. A month out of the season should cost Pitkanen 11 games, not including the Avalanche game last night.Technorati Tags
