Erat Left Last Night

It doesn't get much easier for the Predators forward Martin Erat (Jeff). He's quickly becoming a player to avoid in the early parts of hockey pool drafts as he's constantly injured, like he is again.

Erat left Thursday night's game against the Oilers after the second period with back spasms and didn't return. He is unlikely to practice on Friday and will be re-evaluated prior to Saturday's game against the Wild.

Erat is still somewhat of an offensive force in the league, but injuries this season has hindered his production and he only has 27 points in 35 games, 9 of which are goals. A healthy Erat should produce in the point-per-game range, but this season his minutes played and games played have been wildly inconsistent.

On the bright side for the Predators, Ryan Suter (Stuart) returned to the line-up, which gave the young Nashville team some of their size back on the blueline, which was an obvious help last night. Suter has some offensive punch, as he's got 15 points in 36 games this season.
