Lightning Lose Ranger

It looks as thought we have yet another player done for the remainder of the year... granted, that's only two weeks away. Paul Ranger (Dieter) will now watch the rest of the floundering season for the Lightning from the press box after suffering a major shoulder injury. Surgery hasn't been decided on as of yet, but it does seem likely.

The Lightning haven't been anything like a playoff contending team all season, so the loss won't affect how you may select your defensemen in the Playoff Pool, but it will affect the way Dieter will finish the season in the Draft.

Ranger finished his season with 31 points (10G, 21A) in 72 games with the Bolts. His season shouldn't necessarily affect his drafting position next year, as he is still a pretty reasonable pick for offense from the blueline.
