Foster Re-Signs in Minnesota

An injury-riddled season didn't help defenseman Kurtis Foster at all when it came to negotiating a new deal. After only signing a 1-year deal last summer, he could only manage another 1-year deal worth $1.025 million.

Between four separate injuries, Foster only played in 56 games last season, scoring 7 goals and 12 assists, which keeps him down on the fantasy value list. Thanks to the acquistions of Marc-Andre Bergeron and Marek Zidlicky already this summer, Foster has moved down the depth chart as well.

The signing of Foster now brings the Wild totals up to 16 players for $40.7 million, the floor level of the salary cap.
