Islanders Finalize

The New York Islanders finished up their roster with a few question marks surrounding a player or two. The Islanders have a finished roster of 25 players, but we know that Mike Sillinger is hurt and was questionable to start the season, so we'll mark him in red. There are eight defensemen on the list, which may suggest that one is ailing and will start the season on IR.

Another player of note below is rookie Josh Bailey. It looks as though he has made the team and will get every opportunity to show his stuff for the first nine games and the team will make their decision then.

The Islanders have few worries when it comes to the salary cap. Even with a 25-man roster, they only have $43.2 million against the cap. The team isn't necessarily billed to be a playoff team, so they likely will be sellers at the deadline, if anything. They are blessed with a lot of talented youth and it will likely get a good display by the end of the season. Players like Kyle Okposo and Josh Bailey will get plenty of ice-time and should be good players to bet on in your fantasy team.
