Kings Start Saturday

The Kings finally managed to sign their hardest free agent of the summer this week, Patrick O'Sullivan, and now they are looking towards keeping competitive with the rest of the league for another year.

The team does carry quite a bit of scoring in their top four forwards, while Jarret Stoll will have to get used to playing with some new linemates. Some new linemates may include rookies, Oscar Moller and Wayne Simmonds. Defensively, there will be some more pressure put on Jack Johnson to become the number one guy, while Drew Doughty will get an extended look during his rookie season with the club. In net, it looks like Jason LaBarbera will have another shot at taking the reins in the Kings' crease.

The Kings pushed their way into the safe salary cap region, by just eclipsing the cap floor with their current number of $40.9 million, for the 23 active players. Zeiler, Cliche and Clune are all on the IR to start the season and won't count right away.

Fantasy values are quite low here, except with the top four forwards. Enough said.
