Canucks' Injury Troubles

The road trip for the Canucks was very productive in the Standings, but injuries have now become a big question as they head home for their next game against the Red Wings. The Canucks started their game against Pittsburgh without the services of Sami Salo, who was earlier diagnosed with the flu, but has now been hampered by a hamstring injury, which will keep him out on a day-to-day basis. Then five minutes into their game against the Penguins, the Canucks lost the services of the top pool points player this year, Roberto Luongo, who left the game with a lower body injury.

There was no word after the game about the extent of the injury, but there should be word before the newsletter comes out on Monday.

John P., the leader of the Draft, is the one carrying Luongo this year and there is little doubt that both himself and the Canucks are hoping for a short-term problem. Luongo is also a very popular player in the Selection Sheet pool and the anticipation of his injury news will tip the balance of a possible trade out of the Sheet teams.
