Devils Re-Sign Zajac

The Devils managed to wrangle in one of their key restricted free agents on Wednesday, as Tomas Zajac and his club avoid arbitration hearings by signing a 4-year deal, reportedly worth $15.55 million (according to CapGeek.com). The long-term deal will keep the winger in town with an improving club around him.

In 2009, Zajac finished 71st in pool scoring with 20 goals and 42 assists in all 82 games for the Devils. He is quickly turning into a key fantasy player, thanks to teammates like Zach Parise and Jamie Langenbrunner.

Devils team update should be posted today.
