No Dumont Versus Colorado

It appears that J-P Dumont will not be in the line-up tonight for Nashville, as the Preds are hosting the Avalanche. Dumont fell victim to a big hit by Stephane Robidas on the weekend, which left him in a pretty big heap. Dumont has not resumed skating, but the team is saying that he has not suffered a concussion at all. The injury is apparently facial and it will keep him out of the line-up for the time being. There is no indication as to when he'll return to the ice or when he'll return to game action.

Dumont has 1 assist in 1 game played this season.

Dumont was thought to be a pretty good pick in the 8th round (132nd overall) by Benson, but if this becomes a serious injury, the pick could backfire a little bit on him. On the Sheet, Dumont is a Box 1 forward, where there was a number of higher-profile scorers available and he wasn't a very popular pick.
