Sykora Out Indefinitely

The Wild are not immune to the injury bug that has been creeping around the NHL, as Petr Sykora, one of the more veteran players on the teams, has been hit, yet again, but this time with a concussion, a far more serious affliction. This will be Sykora's second time on the shelf, he had already missed six games with a groin injury, but I think he's in for a longer stay on the shelf this time, as the concussions are taking a little longer to come around. At age 33, he isn't one of the older players on the team, but he has seen his fair share of injuries, so no one shuld be surprised if he hits the 10-game mark for LTIR to kick in.

On the plus side, the Wild are expecting to see the return of defenseman, Kim Johnsson, in the line-up this week, as he is returning from an upper-body injury.

ImplicationsNeither Sykora or Johnsson are big players on the Sheet pool, neither of them were drafted either. If you do have him, it's probably best to drop Sykora outright, while you can return Johnsson to active duty on your team as a depth defenseman.
