Flyers Sign Another Goalie

The Flyers are trying their best to find a stop-gap solution for their goaltending issues. On Friday, they announced that they signed Sebastian Caron to a pro-rated deal for the remainder of the regular season. Caron will not qualify for the playoffs, if they were to make it, because he was signed on after the trade deadline this season.

Caron last played in the NHL back in 2006/'07, when he played two games, one for the Blackhawks and another for the Ducks. In 2003/'04, he managed to play in 40 games for the Penguins, amassing a record of 9-24-5, which was his busiest season ever. Since 2007, he's been playing in the Swiss Elite League, where he has a record of 64-68 over three seasons.

The Flyers are not safe in 6th place in the Eastern Conference, so if Caron actually makes it into the crease for the team, he will have his work cut out for him, especially with the playoff hopes on his shoulders. There is no guarantee that he will play, but the Flyers do have him as a back-up plan, just in case.

He has no fantasy value, whatsoever.
