Friday Night's Pool Preview

This game, compared to it's Eastern Conference counterpart, is another beast entirely. The San Jose Sharks lost both of their games at home and will now try to pull a rabbit out of the hat on the road, where they are 3-2 in the playoffs. You could see the Sharks frustration levels rise about being embarrassed at home on Tuesday night, so there has to be a sense of redemption upcoming or else they will be likely playing Game Four with their tail between their legs and getting the blindfold on for a painful elimination game.

The Blackhawks on the other hand are returning home with a major coup on their hands, winning both games on the road and now coming home to a raucus atmosphere of the United Center. The Blackhawks haven't been terribly dominating at home, like they have been on the road, only carrying a 3-3 home record into Game Three tonight, but they are carrying a pretty good game plan to deal with the Sharks' big stars and their goalie, so it will have to be much of the same for them to really jump out and grab this series by the short and curlies.

If Scott wants to re-take 1st place outright tonight, he's is hoping for a 1-0 win by the Blackhawks, with a goal by Dustin Byfuglien from Brian Campbell and Patrick Sharp. The perfect 4-point goal for him and he could be almost through this series with the lead. Sadly, I really don't see that happening, as Jonathan Toews has been just too good in the past 11 games and he's bound to get a point or two again tonight.

I have a feeling that this game is going to be a very exciting one, especially with the Sharks having their backs up against the wall like they are tonight.  They are going to have to come out swinging if they want to make a series of this or it'll be behind the 8-Ball for them on Sunday!
