Robidas Receives Automatic 1-Game Suspension

The Dallas Stars will reportedly be without defenseman Stephane Robidas for their next game, Thursday at home to Los Angeles, because he automatically qualifies for a 1-game suspension for receiving his second 5-minute major for boarding in 41 games (as per Rule 23.5 in the rule book).

Robidas currently has 3 points in 8 games for the Stars this season.

ImplicationsIn the draft, Robidas was Don's 8th round pick, 145th overall this year, which likely put him as one of his top defensemen for the season.  Don currently sits 18th in the standings after Tuesday night's action and it isn't necessarily his defense that is keeping him down there at the moment.  Don's defense is currently tied for 9th in scoring in the pool with 15 points, rather his forwards and goaltending have been letting him down a bit.
