Collecting Boxing Day Tweets

Word is out that the Atlanta Thrashers are expecting to have young defender, Zach Bogosian, back in their line-up on Sunday night, after missing the last game before the break due to a number of bumps and bruises.  Also sounds like Niclas Bergfors will again be a healthy scratch, disappointing many with his apparent lack of desire to claw his way back into the line-up.

It looks like the Chicago Blackhawks will be without Corey Crawford when they resume their NHL schedule on Sunday, as he looks to be out with the flu. Hannu Toivonen has been recalled to take the back-up role behind Marty Turco against the Blue Jackets.  On the other hand, it appears that Marian Hossa is ready to return to the Blackhawks line-up on Sunday night.

The Minnesota Wild have announced that defenseman Nick Schultz has been cleared to play by team doctors on Sunday morning, after dealing with an undisclosed injury just before the break.  Since the Wild played such and exceptional game in Colorado without their veteran defenseman, he will be held out of the line-up as a healthy scratch, just to ride a winning wave.

It sounds like Rick DiPietro is ready to return from his bout of knee swelling, as he has been taken off the Injured Reserve and Nathan Lawson has been returned to Bridgeport of the AHL.  I don't imagine DiPietro will get a start immediately, but at least he has the ability to back up Dwayne Roloson, as the Islanders host the Canadiens on Sunday night.  Also, it appears that Matt Moulson's upper-body injury was not serious and he should be good to go tonight.

Things just haven't been going Pascal Leclaire's way at all this season, as he remains out with a lower-body injury, but is only considered day-to-day at the moment.  Mike Brodeur has been called up from the minors again to replace Leclaire on the bench as Brian Elliot's back-up on Sunday night, as the Sens host the Penguins.

The re-insertion of Nazem Kadri into the Maple Leafs line-up looks imminent for tonight's game against the Devils.  Kadri has been demoted to the press box in recent games to help work on the mental aspect of the game, now the test will be to sse whether or not he has taken anything from watching the game from above or not.  The Devils should be a good game to return in, as they should be able to give the kid some confidence with their soft play.
