Sheet Player News (Dec 1)

On Tuesday, the Philadelphia Flyers continued the process of getting Michael Leighton back in their active roster by assigning him to the AHL for a 6-day conditioning stint. Leighton has yet to play a game this season after undergoing back surgery to repair a bulging disc and he is currently fairly close to being right on schedule for his return to the Flyers.

The Maple Leafs took on the Lightning on Tuesday night and out of the line-up was Box 24 forward John Mitchell, who was a healthy scratch for the team again.  Mitchell has been in and out of the line-up a few times this season, failing to find a niche on the team that he could fill with any consistency, so it was back to the press box for him.
