Sheet Player News (Dec 16)

The Florida Panthers welcomed Bryan Allen back into their line-up on Wednesday night against the Hurricanes and that meant that a player had to come out of the line-up to make room and it was Box 28 defenseman Dimitri Kulikov who drew the short straw, more for his inconsistent play. Kulikov was a healthy scratch once or twice before Allen left with his broken foot, so you could say that Kulikov's play has been under the microscope for the better part of this season already. This could be a normal occurrence for the young defender, who is still learning the finer points of the game.

The Washington Capitals are continuing to struggle to find any sort of consistency and chemistry within their line-up and Marcus Johansson is finding himself on the outside looking in during a few more games lately. Johansson was made into a healthy scratch again on Wednesday night for the team's game against the Ducks and there is a good chance that he'll be bouncing between the ice and the press box a few more times this season.
