Sheet Player News (Mar 1)

The Columbus Blue Jackets announced on Monday that they will be without Box 10 defenseman Anton Stralman for the next 3-to-4 weeks with a knee injury.  Stralman has already been a victim of the healthy scratch on a number of occasions, but now his absence will be a little longer, because of injury.  Stralman suffered the injury on the weekend and since the Blue Jackets were more like sellers on Monday, they are likely to call someone up to replace him.

Jaroslav Spacek will now be lost to the Montreal Canadiens for the remainder of the regular season after making an appointment to have arthroscopic knee surgery to fix his nagging knee injury that has kept him out of the line-up for a few weeks already, but at least he'll be able to correct the injury and heal up to 100% for a long playoff run.

The New York Rangers received some bad news after the trade deadline festivities had passed, as Martin Biron suffered a fractured/broken collarbone, which will likely finish his regular season, to which there are only about six weeks left of.  Biron suffered the injury in practice on Monday and the team has called up young goalie Cam Talbot to fill in for his spot.
