Sheet Player News (Mar 15)

Only playing in three games since his return from missing 58, Box 5 forward Guillaume Latendresse of the Wild was left behind in Minnesota to get a lower-body injury checked out and a timetable applied to a possible return. The least surprising injury after a long lay-off would be a groin pull and it seems fairly likely that is what it would be, but that's just me speculating. It could be a knee injury for all I know. Consider him day-to-day for the time being.

In the Leafs and Lightning game, Box 22 forward for Toronto, Colby Armstrong, left the game after blocking a shot with his foot and the news came back negatively. The foot that was hit did turn out to be broken and it sounds like Armstrong will be lost to the Leafs for the remainder of the regular season, likely putting a major damper on the team's playoff hopes. Usually a broken foot will cost a player about a month and that's about all that's left this season.

In a season where the Canucks have been having trouble keeping defensemen healthy, Box 14 defenseman Sami Salo left the game against the Wild early after blocking a slap shot in the forearm/elbow. The Canucks were already up 3-0 in the game, so there was little need for him to come back, even if the injury wasn't deemed serious, which it was reported to be the case in the post-game quotes from the coaching staff.
