Sheet Player News (Mar 24)

The Ducks decided to finally activate Jonas Hiller from the Injured Reserve on Wednesday night, but he was designated to the back-up position for the game against the Stars, as Ray Emery got another start.  This has forced Dan Ellis to the press box, as the odd-man out at the moment.  With the uncertainty of Hiller's head injury, I don't think the Ducks will be sending Ellis down any time soon, but if Hiller is okay, Ellis may be up in the press box for a while.

There has been an update on Box 26 defenseman Mark Streit on Thursday... the Islanders have decided to shut him down for the remainder of the regular season. Streit had been skating with the team in practices, but they will use the time between now and training camp to make sure that his torn labrum and rotator cuff injury will heal to 100%. Streit injured himself in training camp this season and was not able to play a game for Long Island.
