Sheet Player News (Mar 5)

The Anaheim Ducks are still shifting some bodies in and out of the line-up with some distaste in play or possibly even some better strategy from the coaching staff, but nevertheless, Jason Blake was scratched from the line-up as they went into a divisional battle against the Dallas Stars.  The Box 6 forward has been a healthy scratch a few times this season, so it comes as no surprise on Friday night.  I would expect him back in the line-up for the team's next game though.

The Calgary Flames had already lost Brendan Morrison to a knee injury and then ran into some more bad news at the centre position, as Mikael Backlund was a late scratch to due a bout of the flu.  Backlund was deemed unable to go in the afternoon, so the Flames were forced to dress an extra defenseman against the Blue Jackets, but it all seemed to work out for the best, as the Flames continued to roll with another win.  I imagine Backlund should be back to playable health for Sunday's tilt against Nashville.
