Sheet Player News (Apr 6)

It sounds like the season is now done for Blue Jackets defenseman Kris Russell, as some tweets after their game against the Stars were suggesting that the defender suffered a broken ankle. There was no indication how or when the injury occurred, but with the Blue Jackets already out of the playoff picture, Russell's injury will only cost him the last couple games of the season.

Since there really is no need for Zach Parise to be playing these last few games for the New Jersey Devils down the stretch, the team is going to ease him back into the line-up, with only a few days left in the season.  Parise, coming off major knee surgery, was told that he wasn't going to play both games on back-to-back nights and so he was scratched on Tuesday night for their game against the Penguins and will then dress Wednesday against the Maple Leafs.  Expect him to be 100% for training camp next year.
