The Canucks re-signed forward Christopher Higgins to a new 2-year deal, worth $3.8 million, a $1.9 million cap hit per season. Higgins played in 62 games between Florida and Vancouver, scoring 13 goals and adding 15 assists. Higgins ranked 218th among all forwards, putting him well outside the draft rankings for the year.
