Cuma Among Wild Cuts

On Sunday, the Minnesota Wild made a large number of training camp cuts, which included defenseman Tyler Cuma, who I had listed as a possibility of being a good pool defenseman, if he had indeed made the team for opening night.

The Wild blueline isn't exactly stacked with great talent, but it didn't appear that the 21-year old blueliner did enough to impress the coaching staff, hence his demotion on Sunday.  With that, his projection gets dropped down to something more that resembles a call-up during the year and he should likely be avoided at the draft this year.

I thought I would update the pool projections for the Minnesota Wild, including most players that are still in camp. I don't foresee any of the young players that are left in camp as being big pool prospects this season, so I would be looking at the regular roster players for inspiration this year.
