Head Injury for Colaiacovo

Well, if you had taken my free advice before the draft season begun, you would have been told to avoid Carlo Colaiacovo, if possible. I know, it is difficult to do, because he can figure in the pool as a mighty fine sleeper pick, but there was a massive risk taking him, because he is so injury prone.

Even through training camp, Colaiacovo was dealing with a chest injury, which put the beginning of his season in doubt, but on Saturday, he did make his season début.  This début only lasted two periods, as he crashed into the boards, head first, and became injured again.

Colaiacovo missed out on Monday's game against the Flames with the head injury and is considered day-to-day for the time being.

ImplicationsColaiacovo was taken late enough that it wasn't the biggest risk, but with only 14 players in a line-up, it certainly is better to have all of your players healthy. Chris M., in spite of this injury news, has had a pretty good start to the week, picking up 8 points on Monday night, lifting him up from 13th to 4th in the process.
