Sheet Player News (Nov. 9)

The rotation on the Hurricanes blueline continued on Tuesday night, with Jamie McBain heading back into the roster, picking up an assist in the game, and Box 30 defenseman Derek Joslin was the odd-man out again.  Joslin has only featured in one game this season, picking up an assist in the process, so you can imagine that Joslin will likely remain as a healthy scratch until another defender goes cold again or gets hurt.  His fantasy value is now hovering around zero these days.

Box 13 defenseman Sami Lepisto enjoyed some time in the Blackhawks line-up while Duncan Keith was out with his upper-body injury, but when Keith returned to the line-up on Tuesday, there was a pretty good shake-up to the line-up and Lepisto was one of a few players taken out of the line-up as a healthy scratch.  The Blackhawks are definitely struggling at the moment and there could be more shuffles done over the next week or two, as they try to sort themselves out.

It has likely been a very frustrating start to the season for Box 25 forward Ryan White of the Canadiens, who has been dealing with an injury since training camp and now he has undergone surgery for a sports hernia and he will now be out indefinitely.  White was not a popular player on the selection sheet and with this news byte, he shouldn't be very popular going forward.  I would imagine that when White is healthy enough to play again, he will start his season in the minors and a recall would likely happen if the team is struggling.
