Last Team to Earn Goalie Points (Oct 17)

As expected, there was no movement from the list of three teams still without goalie points in the draft. Joey MacDonald did get the start for the Flames, not that it mattered, they lost, 3-2, but still.  That was the only possibility for help on this list on Wednesday, as there was only two game going on at the time.

Thursday will be a busy evening, as there are 12 games on the schedule, so our three teams, Stuart (Enroth/Lehner), John (Brodeur/Ramo) and Cindy (Ellis/Emery), will get some help tonight.  Well, as much help as you can expect from these struggling goaltenders.

Cindy, who sits in 14th, still making up for her lack of goaltending, should get some help, as Dan Ellis will likely get the start for the Stars, as they take on the Avalanche in the late game of the night.  The Flyers are also going on Thursday, taking on the Penguins, but there hasn't been any mention of a starter quite yet this morning.

Stuart, sitting in 23rd, but seeing some early improvement to his team in Week Three, likely won't get much help tonight.  The Sabres will likely go back to Ryan Miller, instead of his Jhonas Enroth, for their game against the Canucks.  The Senators will go with their number one, Craig Anderson, instead of Stu's Robin Lehner.  Stuart appears to be out of luck tonight, unless a miracle happens for him.

John will get some help in last place, as Martin Brodeur has been announced as the starter for the Devils tonight, as New Jersey takes on the Senators.  The Devils are still winless and on the road, so it will be a tough slog for Brodeur and company, but at least it is a chance.

The chances are slight, but the opportunities appear to be there for a couple teams on the list.  The last team standing here will be the focus of much ridicule and jokes... especially, if it's Stuart.
