Player Notes in the Draft (Dec 3)

The Florida Panthers have announced on Tuesday that they expect to have defenseman Dimitri Kulikov in the press box for their game against the Ottawa Senators tonight. Scoring-wise, Kulikov only has 1 goal and 2 assists in 27 games this year for the Panthers, which is likely well below what his offensive expectations were set at and with the team struggling to find wins in the schedule, scoring goals will likely be the prime objective for the coaching staff.

Looks like a game that'll be lost for Stuart G., as he sits in a 3-way tie for 21st spot in the standings at the moment.  His team is still 11 points from the bottom and 8 points from 20th, so there isn't a great deal of movement going on, but a game missed is certainly not what he's after tonight.

The New Jersey Devils lost the services of forward Adam Henrique in their game against the Montreal Canadiens on Monday night, but the news doesn't sound too bad. On Tuesday morning, it was suggested that Henrique might be okay and that the lower-body injury that he had suffered obviously wasn't that bad. He will be a game-time decision for the home date of the home-and-home series against the Habs.  If Henrique cannot go, he'll be listed as out day-to-day.

Another injury scare for Wilton this year, a guy who has dealt with his fair share.  In the first segment, Wilton's team managed to hover around the average mark for games played by his skaters and already starts the second segment a bit below average, thanks to one injury and a little bit of an uneven schedule.

It was a return to the shelf for Vincent Lecavalier on Monday night, as the veteran centre was dealing with some back spasms, according to the team. He is currently listed as out day-to-day and would likely be considered to be questionable for the Flyers' next game, away to Detroit on Wednesday night.  Lecavalier hasn't had a great start to the 2014 season, missing a few games to a lower-body injury, then another game to a facial injury and now back spasms.

Injuries didn't help John's cause either in the first segment, as he was hovering around the average mark for skater games played as well.  Lecavalier was one of his biggest losses early on and he wasn't able to collect games, therefore any points.  Here's hoping Vinny isn't out too long now.

A death in the family will be the reason why Toronto Maple Leafs forward Nazem Kadri will be out of the line-up on Tuesday night, as the team takes on the San Jose Sharks.  He is not expected to be away from the team for too long.

An unfortunate event, but one that is just a part of everyday life, sadly.  Ryan V. will be without one of his better forwards for at least a game, which won't help his team work its way out of the bottom of the standings, but missing one game shouldn't put him at the bottom either.
