Concussion Stalls Parise's Season

Reports out of the Minnesota Wild camp is that forward Zach Parise will be out of the line-up for an indefinite period of time, due to a concussion.

The injury was suffered on Tuesday night against Pittsburgh, as he left that game with the injury, not to return.  On Thursday, it was announced that Parise had suffered the head injury and did not travel with the team to Ottawa to take on the Senators and it seems unlikely that he will be on this current road trip that they are on.

There has yet to be an official timetable announced for Parise's return, but that is usually the case with concussions, as they work on a case by case basis.

This is a real shame for Parise and the Wild, as he is off to a great start in the 2015 season, picking up 4 goals and 6 assists in the first 11 games of the season.  In mid-action on Thursday night, I have Parise ranked 69th overall in pool scoring, which unfortunately, will take a hit as the spends more and more time on the shelf.

It has been a bit of a bumpy road for Grant K. in his first season in the hockey pool, as his hot start has been met with some rocky spots.  His team opened the season in 3rd place after Week One, but with some downs, ups and more downs, he currently sits in 11th spot in the middle of Week Five.

Grant's team now has the lead for the Jordan bobblehead trophy for the least amount of skater games played, as his side has only seen 132 games, from the 6:30pm MT start time for games on Thursday.
