More Player Notes in the Draft (Nov 2)

A couple more notes from Saturday night's action, which I'm going to get to here... the Dallas Stars lost the services of Ales Hemsky to an upper-body injury in the loss to the Wild. Sunday hasn't seen an update on the veteran Czech forward, but the Stars don't play again until Tuesday night, home to the Kings, so we may not see anything until Monday.

In 11 games this season, Hemsky has yet to make a real impact on the Stars line-up, registering only 1 assist.  This is a big reason why Brenda & Seward have struggled in the standings to start the season, a real lack of scoring from the skaters: 37 points from the forwards (22nd) and 7 points from the defense (23rd).

For the Tampa Bay Lightning, they may have lost the services of Alex Killorn again, who may have re-aggravated an upper-body injury, which he had just returned from this week.  Killorn left the game in the 2nd period, but the reports of departure have suggested that the young forward wasn't hit prior to leaving the game, which is somewhat concerning.  He'll be re-evaluated during the week, but Tampa doesn't play until Thursday, at home to the Flames, so there is a long rest in between.

Dale C. leads the pool in points from the forward ranks at 71 points, with Killorn picking up 4 points in five games this season.  The rest of his team is obviously picking up the slack for the injured forward, but Dale could use a few more points from Killorn, as he sits 6 points back of the money in 5th place.

An updated list of injuries can be found here.
