Crawford to Miss a Couple of Weeks

How about another freak accident away from the rink?  Freak accidents are the new, um, too many men on the ice calls?  No, that doesn't sound quite right.  You know what I mean though, right?

The Chicago Blackhawks are now going to be without their number one goalie, Corey Crawford, after taking a tumble at a concert the other night, injuring his left leg/foot in the process.  Crawford was seen in a walking boot and talked to reporters today, but didn't give much detail into the nature of the injury, but talked about his frustrations about it.

The Blackhawks stopper is now expected to miss the next two or three weeks with the injury.

Crawford has been dynamite this season, ranking 19th overall in pool scoring with 12 wins and a shutout for 26 points to start the season.  Among goalies, he ranks 8th, which makes him a pretty good 1st round pick, in comparison to other players.

Dale C., who currently sits in the money, will now miss more than one start, due to this injury, as his 2nd round pick (25th overall) will now sit for somewhere between 6-to-12 games in total.  Some of those games, he was likely to take a backseat, for scheduling purposes, but now it's a complete loss.

Dale goes into Wednesday night's action, only 1 point up on 4th place and 34 points back of 2nd.  There is very little chance that this will impact his decision making for his Waiver Draft pick, later on this week.
