Flames Put Glencross On, Take Jooris Off

The Calgary Flames made a couple of roster transactions, just before their last game before the All-Star break, as Curtis Glencross has been placed on the Injured Reserve with his groin injury and to fill in is spot, they activated forward Josh Jooris from what is believed to be his re-aggravated wrist injury.

There is no exact word as to how much time Glencross may miss, but he will definitely miss out on the team's final two games before the break, Monday night in Los Angeles and Wednesday night in Anaheim.  Two big games for the veteran forward to miss out on.  Glencross should be eligible to come back off the IR when the team returns back from the All-Star break, but the team hasn't said whether or not he'll be able to return then.

In 44 games this season, Glencross has 8 goals and 26 points, which had him in 149th overall in pool scoring, going into Week Sixteen.  For Mike, he had taken him 168th in the draft, an 8th round pick this year, so he had been seeing some bargain-like scoring from the vet this year, but will miss out on a couple games at the very least this week.

On the flip side, Jooris being activated, won't likely be in the lineup, according to the reports today, acting as a healthy scratch in the press box for the game against the Kings.  The 24-year old undrafted forward was picked up by Wyllie in the Waiver Draft, but hasn't seen a great deal of action, nor a lot of production in that time.  Since the start of Week Ten, Jooris has only played in 10 games for his pool team, picking up a goal and an assist.

There is no word on whether or not he'll dress for Wednesday in Anaheim though, possibly a healthy scratch for both games.
