More Player Notes in the Draft (Jan 21)

We're waiting to hear what the final word from the Pittsburgh doctors is, but Kristopher Letang is waiting to see if he can go tonight in the team's final game before the All-Star break. The scoring defenseman is a game-time decision today after taking a high hit from Philadelphia's Zac Rinaldo, a hit that has forced the hand of the NHL Department of Player Safety, asking Rinaldo to the carpet.  If the Penguins opt (or are forced) to sit Letang, he'll be on the list as out day-to-day.

I'm sure Kristy & Don wouldn't mind if Letang missed one more game this season, if that means he'll be healthy after the All-Star break.  Their 50-point lead going into Wednesday night should be big enough for them to laugh off a minor hitch in their season.

The Winnipeg Jets are going to welcome back defenseman Jacob Trouba to their lineup on Wednesday night, as the Jets are hosting the Blue Jackets, just before the All-Star break.  Trouba has been out since the middle of December with an upper-body injury and as this team moves forward as a playoff contender, they get a key piece to their puzzle back, making them even more dangerous from the blueline, then they already are.

Good news for Stuart, who could use the help.  His team is mired in 17th and is losing his gap on 18th place, which happens to be his brother Benson.  The gap is down to 10 points and Stuart & Benson are going in opposite directions in the standings at the moment.  This roster addition may help Stuart bandaid the bleeding.

Yes, the final night of action for Week Sixteen goes tonight and the goalie survival pool has a chance to come to a conclusion, as Kristy & Don have one shot at staying in.

Brenda & Seward got their one win, as the Rangers narrowly squeaked past the Senators last night and now Kristy & Don need Frederik Andersen to pick up a win over the streaking Joni Ortio and the Flames at home tonight.

There is one other notable start tonight, it will be Michael Hutchinson getting the nod for the Jets against the Blue Jackets.  Cam will get one more start from his goalie, keeping a start away from Stacey M., as they are 17 points away from each other, Cam in 5th and Stacey in 9th.
