Player Notes in the Draft (Jan 20)

The busiest of the three nights in Week Sixteen drops tonight, as eight games go on Tuesday night and it should prove to be somewhat interesting.

Since we've only got three nights of action on tap in the NHL, things get pretty interesting for the survivor pool and our two remaining teams.  Brenda & Seward only have tonight to try for their win and they'll only get one shot at it, as the Edmonton Oilers are planning to go with Viktor Fasth against the Capitals in Washington, who will, in turn, start Braden Holtby.  The only shot the pool's second duo will have will be in New York, as Henrik Lundqvist is scheduled to go against the Senators and Craig Anderson,

Kristy & Don only have one shot at survival and that comes tomorrow night.

Otherwise, the goalie match-ups are as follows... The Battle of Pennsylvania will be a black hole of goalie minutes, as Thomas Greiss will take on Ray Emery tonight, neither of which have been taken in the pool.  Carter Hutton will take on the Canadiens for the Predators, in Pekka Rinne's absence, and he'll take on Carey Price, returning from an upper-body injury.  For the Minnesota Wild, Darcy Kuemper has been activated from the IR, but will serve as Devan Dubnyk's back-up in Detroit, while Petr Mrazek sucks minutes away from the pool for the Red Wings.  It's beginning to sound like Ryan Miller will get another back-to-back set of games for the Canucks, as he squares off with Ben Bishop for the Lightning, both teams finishing up their pre-All-Star Game schedule.  Antti Raanta gets the call for the Blackhawks, as they host the Coyotes, who will give Mike Smith the call.  Raanta is still available for the Week Eighteen Waiver Draft, while the Coyotes have no one else to start, except Smith, so he'll get the bulk of the work.  Finally, it should be Tuukka Rask versus Kari Lehtonen, as the Bruins travel to Dallas to take on the Stars.  No surprises here.
