Kadri Suspended for High Hit

Life has not been too kind to Maple Leafs forward Nazem Kadri, but one could argue that everything is the result of his own actions, so it is hard to necessarily feel sorry for the kid.

On Wednesday, the NHL came down on the winger with a 4-game suspension, thanks to a high hit on Edmonton's Matt Fraser on Monday night, in Toronto's 4-1 loss.  The video below will explain the reasons much better than I can.

Kadri was handed a team-issued suspension recently, which cost him three games and now this 4-gamer is the icing on a pretty ill-tasting cake this season.

This move hurts the chances of Brian's team moving up into the money, if only in a small fashion.  Kadri has picked up 16 goals and 36 points in 66 games played this season with the Leafs, which is good enough for 6.7% of Brian's overall total points this year, so he has played somewhat of a significant role in his recent successes.

After Tuesday night, Brian now sits in 5th place, now 17 points out of the money, and also has a 10-point lead in the third segment standings, leading Mike in that category.
