Habs Working Their Way Back

It's way too early to say that the Canadiens are going to come back and win this series from the Lightning, but boy... they are really making a good case to be the fifth team in NHL history to come back from a 3-0 deficit in a playoff series.

The Canadiens, playing at home in Montreal, jumped out to a good start in the opening frame, keeping the pace quick. Non-pool forward Devante Smith-Pelly got a very fortunate deflection, which was ever so slight, which helped to roof a shot just under the bar and help to an early 1-0 lead.

The Lightning were not getting the puck to the net nearly enough through the first two periods, only getting 15 pucks to Carey Price and they were all stopped.

In the 3rd period, the Bolts finally broke through, as Steven Stamkos scored to tie up the game, midway through the frame, but the Habs were not going to be beaten, as another non-pool forward, P-A Parenteau scored seven minutes later and that was all the Habs needed for a 2-1 win.

There were no skaters with multiple points, it was just Price, who made 24 saves for the win and the 2 points in the pool.
