Signed In Europe (June 6)

On Sunday, May 10th, the reports surfaced that Boston Bruins back-up in 2015, Niklas Svedberg, a restricted free agent in July, has indeed bolted to Russia to play in the KHL.  Svedberg was outlined in the Pool Outlook for Boston as a pool-worthy keeper, hence his note here in the blog.  This move to Europe suggests that the door is now wide open for Malcolm Subban to take over the job behind Tuukka Rask and then give him a run for his money, perhaps?

It doesn't seem likely that this will make a huge impact on the hockey pool draft for next season, but I would imagine it will get someone excited for it.  A brand new goalie face will go a long ways, if the pool is deep again next season.
