2015 Draft Class Signings (July 9)

The Montreal Canadiens got into the act, signing their 1st round pick, the 26th overall pick, defenseman Noah Juulsen, to his entry-level deal on Thursday.  A product of the Everett Silvertips in the WHL, he is being touted as a two-way defenseman with a solid competitive streak to his game, making up for a lack of top end size.

It seems unlikely that there is much room in the roster for a young kid, given that the Canadiens already have six NHL'ers already under contract for the 2016 season, but you just never know.  The likelihood is quite low, given the amount of maturity a defender needs to excel in the NHL game, but not having scouted him, it's hard to tell.

Given that he is a 1st round pick, he'll be on the watch list for sure, as we move along in his career.
