2015 Draft Class Signings (Sep 4)

Thursday saw the signing of another 1st round pick from June's Entry Draft, as the Arizona Coyotes came to terms with forward Nick Merkley.

Merkley, the 30th overall pick, signed his 3-year entry-level deal, but the actual salary and cap hit numbers are yet to be disclosed.

The 18-year old forward, who played with the Kelowna Rockets in the WHL last season, will join the Coyotes' rookie camp, which gets started in the next week or so and he'll join a very good group of young players, trying to find a spot on a roster that has some room for some young talent.

With the team already projected with nine veteran forwards, that means they have three or four spots remaining for their youth.  Max Domi and Anthony Duclair lead the way for a couple spots, while another 2015 pick, Dylan Strome, will get a long look, but you can't count out Merkley.

Coyotes camp is going to be amongst the most exciting one's to watch this month.
