Goalie Announcements (Nov 21)

There is only one team left trying to work its way into Week Seven and that team didn't have any players going yesterday, so I didn't pop a post up about the goalies, but Derek W. potentially has a couple of shots at it tonight.

In one of the early games this evening, Steve Mason gets the nod for the Flyers, as they head into Ottawa to take on Craig Anderson (John P.) and the Senators.  This will be a pretty tough game for the Flyers, as the Sens have been playing some pretty quick hockey of late.

The last chance for Derek's qualification belongs on the shoulders of Devan Dubnyk, who will play host to Pekka Rinne (Ryan) and the Nashville Predators.  This is a pretty good goaltender match-up, one that could go either way.

That's it for Derek... if he doesn't get anything out of these two games, he'll get no help on Sunday and his run in the goalie survivor pool comes to an end and we'll be down to seven teams.

The pool will get a look at Anders Lindback, who is available for the Week Nine Waiver Draft, as Mike Smith (Dale B.) is unavailable for tonight's game against the Jets in Winnipeg.  Smith's lower-body injury was enough to keep him out.
