Goalie Announcements (Dec 18)

The Oilers were not able to spoil Stuart's ability to qualify for Week Twelve in the survivor pool, as Corey Crawford put up a bagel on the visitors from Edmonton last night and now four of the five teams are on to next week.

It's another busy night in the league and the pool, but there won't be any new developments in the survivor pool tonight... that will have to wait until Saturday night.  So, instead, we'll have a quick peek at the match-ups for all to see.

We'l start with the new leader in the standings, Jeremy, who will have his number one goalie going tonight, we can assume... as Braden Holtby of the Capitals should start against Ben Bishop (Allan) and the Tampa Bay Lightning at the Verizon Center.

2nd place, John P., has one goalie going as well tonight, as Craig Anderson will get the nod for the Senators against the Sharks, who are expected to go with Alex Stalock (Derek & Dan) in the opposite net.

It's a brand new team in 3rd place as well today, as Brenda & Seward have a money spot to start Friday, but they have no keepers going tonight.  Nor does 4th place, as Troy's keepers are off tonight, leaving both teams exposed to Neil, in 5th, who will have Cam Ward and the Hurricanes going against Roberto Luongo (Kristy & Don) and the Panthers.

Allan may have both of his goalies going tonight, as it is expected that Connor Hellebuyck will get the nod for the Jets tonight, when they face the road weary New York Rangers, who were in Minnesota last night.  Henrik Lundqvist (Derek & Dan) may not be fresh from his relief appearance, which will make that game interesting, but it does give the pool's third duo both goalies going as well.
