Goalie Announcements (Jan 7)

How about a quick look at the goalie match-ups tonight?

Derek W. has his own head-to-head goalie game tonight in Minnesota, as Steve Mason and the Flyers are in to take on Devan Dubnyk of the Wild.  His team is 28 points out of the money at the start of Thursday night, so a shutout one way or the other would go a long ways to helping his team out.

It also looks like Brenda & Seward, our current pool leaders, will have both of their goalies going tonight, as Karri Ramo is scheduled to be in net for the Flames, as they host Louis Domingue (non-pool) and the Coyotes, while it is expected (but not confirmed) to see Jonathan Quick in net for the Kings, when they host the Toronto Maple Leafs.

John S. will get a rare start in that game, as James Reimer returns to the Leafs net, finally, returning from injury.  I think that's pretty notable, but John has now dropped to 44 points out of the money, so he'll need a lot more than Reimer to help his cause.

Other goalies expected to play tonight include: Braden Holtby (Jeremy) versus Jaroslav Halak (Dale B.), Roberto Luongo (Kristy & Don) versus Craig Anderson (John P.), Connor Hellebuyck (Allan) versus Kari Lehtonen (Dale C.) and Petr Mrazek (Tony) versus Martin Jones (Scott).
