Knee Problems Sideline Kronwall

On Tuesday afternoon, the Detroit Red Wings announced that defenseman Niklas Kronwall was to undergo a knee scope, which would keep the physical leader of their blueline out for anywhere between 2-to-4 weeks.

Kronwall hasn't exactly been the most dominant in the hockey pool this year, only picking up 3 goals and 17 points in 45 games and has also provided 14 PIM this year as well.  Nothing too spectacular, but nevertheless, he has been a key part of the Red Wings core for quite some time now.

For Brian, he hasn't quite been getting the value that he was looking for out of Kronwall, as his 6th round pick.  Kronwall was taken with the 145th overall pick in the draft this year, but currently ranks 271st in the scoring rankings, more of an 11th round pick this year at the moment.

Brian isn't hurting because of this one pick, however, topping the pool in weekly scoring through two nights, sitting in 7th place overall, 18 points out of the money and 3rd in PIM, 67 minutes back of 1st place.
