Noon Player Notes in the Draft (Jan 21)

The Detroit Red Wings were without forward Tomas Tatar on Wednesday night, as a bout of the flu appears to be making the rounds again.  Tatar was a late scratch for this game and should be on the probable side of questionable, when the Red Wings play again, tomorrow night in Buffalo.

John P. has been losing his grip on his money position, as Neil has been creeping up on him, now only 1 point up on his 4th place opponent.  The missed game from Tatar theoretically hurts him in the race.

So, to say the flu is making the rounds, it is only confirmed with the absence of defenseman Colton Parayko from the Blues' blueline, who was feeling under the weather enough to miss out their game, coincidentally, against the Red Wings.  I would assume he's in the same boat as Tatar, likely probable for Friday night in Colorado.

Parayko was a Waiver Draft claim for Tony this season and since then, he has picked up 6 points in 22 games.  In the rookie race, Tony's team is ranked tied for 14th with Parayko's points since the Waiver Draft.

The Philadelphia Flyers announced on Thursday morning that forward Sean Couturier is expected to miss tonight's game against the Penguins, due to a lower-body injury.  There doesn't appear to be any more details from the team, but for now, we'll assume he's day-to-day, but we're expecting an update before too long about how much time the team expects to miss.

Kristy & Don are having a decent week, so far, 10 points through Wednesday night is in the top-third of the weekly table, only 4 points back of the weekly leader.  They are making strides towards the top again this year, but it's a long road to hoe, especially with injuries on their books.
