Morning Player Notes in the Draft (Mar 3)

It was a quiet night in the NHL, making way for all the chatter about the World Cup of Hockey.  Only one note to push this morning, as Washington Capitals defenseman Nate Schmidt was held out of the lineup against the Maple Leafs with an apparent lower-body injury, he is currently listed as out day-to-day.  There were no details on the injury, but the roster spot did open up for the recently acquired Mike Weber for their blueline, so that was somewhat helpful of the kid.

Schmidt was a Week Eighteen pick-up for Brian not too long ago, but hasn't made any gains with his new player, as John Moore of the Devils, the player he had dropped, has scored the same and earned a couple more minor penalties.
